My Year So Far!       It's almost Christmas. This semester has been outstanding! I've met new friends, and I've advanced in some of my favorite subjects, such as math and English. This is my first semester of eighth grade. It's definitely a change from seventh grade, considering how much harder the schoolwork gets, but I've managed to pass all of my classes with the help of my wonderful teachers.    Math has been my absolute favorite subject since first grade. Algebra is much harder than pre-algebra because of graphing. Although, it has been the easiest to understand for me. I'm great when it comes to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Algebra is difficult, but my math teacher has made it simple to comprehend. I memorize the formulas. Then I solve it with mathematical functions.                                                                           Christmas      Dallas is like  my second home, because my entire family lives there. We go there every Christmas, and sometimes in the summer. Although, this year we're gonna go to California for Christmas. Going to California for Christmas, instead of Dallas, is a big change. I hope my family is okay with it, because I don't mind the change. I mean, Christmas at Disneyland sounds like a dream come true. Now I'm getting even more excited , because going to Disneyland was my childhood dream! I hope I can go to Dallas too, if it's even possible, because I feel like it's a tradition. This is the only time of year I get to see some of my closest cousins, so I hope I don't hurt their feelings if I can't make it to Dallas. We have two weeks of Chr

Rowling, five stars, because I love how the author makes Harry Potter's story special, and it's very fascinating. I enjoyed how Harry's friends, Hermione and Ron helped him throughout his school year at Hogwarts with all the spooky and unusual events there. He was quite brave for a new wizard. He has fought against many dark forces already. Harry found out more about his past and magical background, and it was his first year at this wizardry school. Harry grew a lot as an individual. He discovered new, different things he wouldn't see in his normal life at home with the Dursley's. This is the first book of the series. I would 100% recommend this book to everyone; it will be higher than your expectations, I promise. Trust me, the series will keep getting better. Honestly, I think everyone should read the w
